Women project started in 2009. The installation consists of 20 plaster elements depicting a woman’s shoes with the heel leaning on a pedestal as to suggest a path. The work was especially designed for the Archivio Storico Olivetti in order to make the white elements stand out once positioned, and to adapt to any gradient or area. The choice of the shoes was made to symbolize the planning process viewed as a path where the key words assume a necessary importance. Each element has an inscription, a word which represents a value, a step of the project: Lightness, quickness, accuracy, visibility, multiplicity, beginning, end, knowledge, form, thought, language, ambiguity, game, independence, message, movement, structure, texture, module. The words selected are an homage to two great masters of Italian literature: Italo Calvino and Bruno Munari. Both dedicated their lives to an ideal of beauty and values close to the Olivetti philosophy. A tribute to two great man of international fame.
